Classic KB glam!

One of my favourite looks – my Classic KB face. For those of you following me on Instagram or snapchat, you may have seen me in this sort of makeup quite a few times before (*a gazillion times). It’s my go-to look, so easy but still glam enough to find a husband.

I’m going to list some of the staple products I use that went into this face beat and I know you guys can definitely recreate this clean and easy glam.

I always use liquid foundation. I’ve never been the girl to just dust on some powder foundation and go.

Dior SkinStar in ‘Mocha’ — my all time favorite foundation. If I’m ever running low I’ll add in a drop of Sephora 8H wear foundation – a cheap, filler foundation I mix in whenever I run low on my more expensive foundations.

I use NARS Creamy Concealer in’Custard’ under my eyes and on the high points of my face – nose, forehead, Cupid’s bow etc. Love NARS concealers because even though I’m pretty dark and I use a much lighter concealer to highlight, it always blends seamlessly into my skin; it doesn’t leave me patchy.

I set that with Ben Nye ‘TOPAZ’ finishing powder, then top that off with ‘Laura Mercier translucent powder’ to give me a smooth and crease free matte look. If you have a light complexion, I don’t recommend you using Topaz to set your highlight (or concealer), I would recommend Ben Nye’s famous Banana Powder or even just the Laura Mercier translucent powder on its own.

Cream contour done with MAC ‘NW45’

Anastasia Dip Brow in ‘Granite’, finished off with Brow Wiz in ‘Ebony’ just to clean up the sparse areas of my brows.

I line my lips with Makeup Forever’s Aqua Lip liner in ‘3C’, which is a medium natural beige that has a nice pink undertone to it. After lining my lips I apply Colour Pop’s matte liquid lipstick in ‘Beeper’. Love this colour for a natural pinky nude that goes well with my lip liner – great for light AND dark skin tones!!! I love matte and natural coloured lips, definitely my go-to when I’m doing my classic KB look.

To highlight I use Becca shimmering light in ‘Pearl’ — another one of my favourite highlighters. Becca highlighters are always such a hit and work well with whatever makeup I apply on my face. I hate highlighters that cling to the skin and look extremely fake and bring out texture on the skin, Becca highlighters always blend seamlessly with the rest of my makeup!

I always keep my eyes super simple. I’m hoping to come out of my comfort zone and try eyeshadows that are vibrant and colourful but for now I stick with neutrals with a pop of pink. Since I have hooded eyes, a trick I learned is to apply a dark eyeshadow on the outer crease of your eyes and blend upwards and slightly above your crease to give your eyes depth. Then apply a lighter shade (I went in with Makeup Geek eyeshadow pans in ‘Sorbet’ and ‘Ice Queen) to your lid. Very simple and great for beginners.

After writing this out, it seems like a super long process but it really isn’t I promise you guys! Sometimes I can go overboard and use triple the amount of products that I would use for this look. Try out some of the makeup products I used and let me know how you like them.
